When you think about studying abroad, London is probably the first city that comes to mind. It’s a truly iconic world city, drenched in history and culture, as well as being a hotbed of science and technology. It’s no wonder that millions of students flock here every year to study at one of its prestigious universities, and many choose to stay in the capital for their postgraduate studies as well.

London student accommodation is abundant, and there are lots of different types to choose from. Whether you want to live in a shared flat, a studio or your own en suite room, there is something for everyone. The key is to find the right accommodation that will meet your needs and budget. You will also need to consider other living expenses like tuition fees, bills, food, transport and books. It’s important to weigh up all of these factors before deciding where you are going to live in London, so you can make an informed decision about your student budget.

You should also consider the amount of time you will spend travelling to university each day when selecting your student accommodation. You might find that walking to college is a good option, or you might prefer to use the bus or Tube. The cost of travel will depend on where you live and how far you are from your campus, but there are often discounts available for students on buses and the London Underground. You could also register for a student Oyster card online to receive a 30% discount on journeys throughout the year.
