Cell Phone – Why should you upgrade?
We receive news from friends or just general conversations from people who want to update their cell phones. There are a number of very good reasons to upgrade, but unfortunately the main reason people upgrade mindlessly is because cell phone manufacturers are bombarding us with ads every day with new features. I bet you can identify some friends who have new cell phones and have no idea how to use all the key features.
Updating your cell phone needs some careful thought. Many of us update for fashion reasons to keep up with the modern look, it’s understandable that if you have a cell phone from the early years, you may want something a little more portable and flexible to use.
Upgrading still costs money, so choose wisely. There are many different upgrade options today, such as camera cell phones; PDA cell phones, GPS cell phones and now we have available the new line of 3G cell phones. Honestly, the best place to choose a cell phone is on the Internet, it is your decision and not the salesman in some store twisting your arm for a sale and blinding you with useless information.
You should be aware of the differences and different features of cell phones before going ahead and upgrading. By doing a little research, you can choose exactly what fits your needs and budget. GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) phones are widely used by people who love climbing or adventure trekking in remote regions.
GPS phones can be located in an area of the Pacific in case you get lost or need assistance, long distance drivers and employers also find good use for these phones. Employers can track the whereabouts of employees or the phones themselves if they are lost or stolen.
PDA phones are ideal for people who like to use pocket organizers. These phones are expensive but have PC-like functionality, ideal for office workers or sales representatives.
Camera phones are self-explanatory, just a phone that can take photos. There’s more to camera cell phones, but simply put, that’s what they do. They are classified as a more fun phone and prove to be very popular among all age groups. Once you have an idea of what different phones do and can’t do, you’ll be in a better position to make an upgrade decision.
Flip phones are very popular right now these are the pop up screen phones they are available in camera, PDA and GPS format but keep in mind they are not for everyone I personally don’t find them very easy to use but that it’s my In my opinion, I like to just answer the incoming call without wasting time on the phone.
The phones on the market today are very light in weight compared to the big style of years ago, those of you still using these types of phones today should consider upgrading and embracing today’s technology.
General tips:
If you experience poor reception on a regular basis you should check with your cell phone provider first before changing phones, most of the time it tends to be a bad signal due to the cell phone company rather than the fault of your phone, many people just jump in and buy the phone only to find the same problem repeating itself. In certain areas, you may need a small cell phone antenna or an inexpensive amplifier to get better reception.
Shutting down very quickly:
If you find that your cell phone dies too quickly, you probably need a new battery, again many people change the entire cell phone instead of just the battery. The concept that batteries are almost as expensive as cell phones is false. You can get batteries at very competitive prices along with third party batteries from different vendors.
No power:
If you find that you have no power in your cell phone even after charging it for hours, it could be one of three things. Firstly the cell phone battery could be completely dead, secondly the charging supply unit could have a problem and lastly it could be the cell phone itself, removing the first two could save you money. It may all sound like common sense, but you’d be surprised how many working cell phones get thrown away.
