Corgi’s physical characteristics make them easily portable. These dogs are only 10 to 12 inches tall at the shoulder and typically weigh 28 to 30 pounds. Smaller canines demand much less food, which can make possession less difficult on the wallet. Aside from providing a high quality dog food for the pet, the maintenance expected for a Corgi is fairly minimal. His short coat requires little grooming. An occasional bath in addition to regular brushing is all these dogs need. Nail trimming should only be done when necessary.
The Corgi is normally alert, which tends to make him a trustworthy guardian of his home and family. The Corgi is generally quite vocal and may send out a warning bark when he receives visitors. Since they are highly intelligent and want their owner’s approval, these dogs should respond quickly once you ask them to stop barking senselessly.

Children and corgis get along well together, as the dog was socialized with children at a young age. The young child should be reminded that his pet is a living thing, not a doll or toy, and should be treated gently and kindly.

An adult Corgi is so cute and Corgi puppies are even cute! You may think that it would be fun to let your little ones experience the miracle of life by raising your dog. Raising your Corgi could be relatively dangerous for her. Since Corgis are such small dogs, they tend to have more difficult pregnancies and births. There are so many unwanted puppies and adult dogs in the world today, why add to the problem? Please leave the breeding to experienced and proven breeders.
