There are ten different models to choose from in the Cadillac series, including their famous SUV, the Escalade.

Cadillacs come in three different versions: the four-door sedan: CTS (C-Series Touring Sedan), STS (Seville Touring Sedan), and Cadillac DTS (DeVille Touring Sedan).

The CTS helped fuel the popularity of the Cadillac brand among younger generations during the 1990s and early 21st century. It’s the smallest of the Cadillac models, but it’s powered by a very powerful 3.6-liter V-6 engine. In fact, the 2008 model has been tested with 258 horsepower and 252 foot-liters of torque! First revealed at the North American International Auto Show in January 2007, the 2008 CTS will be available in late fall.

Optional features will also include rotating headlights, along with Bose premium audio, remote start and iPod integration. The STS has a 3.6L High Feature LY7 V6 engine, with 255 hp. It also comes as a 320-hp Northstar 4.6L LH2 V8. Remote start is standard, while a Bose 300-watt stereo system with MP3 is optional. The DTS goes even higher in the definition of luxury and has safety features like eight airbags and high-powered xenon headlamps; It has premium luxury features like leather seats and power seats, both standard.

Optional features include a navigation system, MRC (Magnetic Ride Control), for a smoother ride, as well as a moonroof, chrome wheels, heated/cooled seats and a heated steering wheel. All of these features are intended to make the mundane business of driving a pure joy.

SUV Cadillac

The famed Cadillac Escalade is a full-size SUV that competes directly with Ford’s Lincoln Navigator, which was launched in 1998. The Escalade features an all-aluminum 6.2L Vortec V8 engine with variable valve timing and produces 403 hp of power and 417 lb-ft of torque. It comes with rear-wheel drive as well as all-wheel drive. While the ESV is a stretched version of the standard Escalade, with more room in the rear, the EXT is a pickup and features a “Convert-a-Cab” composite pickup bed.

The EXT, along with the CTS, was featured in the chase scene in The Matrix Reloaded, helping boost the company’s sales and cementing its position among Hollywood’s elite.

The SRX is a midsize crossover utility vehicle, featuring a five- and six-speed automatic transmission. The V8 has a 320-hp 4.6L engine, and has heated front seats and wood interior trim as standard seats. Available options include DVD, moonroof, navigation system, and a fold-down third-row seat.

For those who need speed, Cadillac offers the XLR, which is a two-door convertible coupe. It can accelerate to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds and hit 100 mph in just 11.3 seconds. Reaching over $100,000 with upgrades, this is the most expensive car in GM’s stable.

Whether your every move is followed by a pack of paparazzi or you’re just another “Joe’s Quality Car Lover,” Cadillac proves there’s no need to go across the pond for the finer things in life.
