Inside the Oscars – Nominee FOREST WHITAKER’S Aura

All of the Academy Award Best Actor nominees have delivered outstanding performances…on the surface. They said their lines believably, they developed an interesting character, they got the voice, the way of walking, the appearance. Perhaps most extraordinary is that these magnificent actors received the direction objectively enough to enhance the portrayal of a character, rather than destroy it.

No wonder Oscar nominees are so admired! However, only a small minority of them have gone all the way, changing their CHAKRAS. This requires the greatest talent, plus a rare kind of courage.

What does it mean to change so profoundly, to play apart? Nothing inside of you feels the same. Imagine a piece of beige fabric that you are dyeing green. Most people would be satisfied with a fabric that looks green. But you won’t settle for a simple soak in the tub. You find a way to make the ultimate transformation. As a result, the cloth changes so completely that if you held the world’s most powerful microscope over that cloth, the tiniest fibers would glow bright green.

Well, okay, here’s something easier to imagine: What happens when an aura reader like me becomes a film critic? I can read the deepest changes possible within an actor. And that’s just what I’ll do in this article, with an in-depth critique of Forest Whitaker’s performance as Forest Whitaker in “The Last King of Scotland.” (If you would like links to the photos I used in this article, please email me. An address can be found on the Rose Rosetree website.)

Since I can read auras from regular photographs (and could teach you to do the same, by the way), it’s easy to compare an actor’s aura as himself to his still image from the movie, when he’s in character. Did I see this movie? Just the trailer, and that was scary enough of me. Watching a movie about Idi Amin, the dictator of Uganda, is not my idea of a good time! But reading the photos I can fearlessly jump into the aura of terrifying representation, I asked this question: Who could be completely transformed? This is what I found out about Forest Whitaker in this movie:

Root Chakra: How Your Personality Projects When You Walk Into A Room

As Himself: Forest comes off as a humble, down-to-earth guy, with more shyness than you find in most actors.

In the movie: Scary and loving it! This is a complete change of aura. Going from Forest’s pleasurable humility to this full-bodied, dangerous, hate-filled monster of a man is a thrilling ride for the moviegoer, an exceptionally courageous achievement for the actor. When I recover from the shock, I will be amazed.

Sexual chakra: what would he be like as a lover?

Like himself: a lover-hugging bear, Forest has earthy qualities mixed with loyalty, sincerity, and plenty of feminine energy to temper the masculine energy. (This remark is not an insult to his sexual orientation. If you read my other articles in this series, you’ll find that many of the most charismatic stars project a degree of masculine and feminine, combined.)

In the movie: As lovers go I’d say “Not bad” except the man’s other chakras are so awful. An unexpected tenderness is part of this fascinating character. Sexually, this Idi is powerful but also protective, gentle in the manner of a grizzly bear with a cub. Especially if you’re drawn to bad and dangerous boys, you might find this side of the character disturbingly desirable. And of course, it’s a big aura change.

Solar plexus chakra: driving power, what is your pattern at the time of this photo?

Like Himself: This actor doesn’t display remarkable qualities in how he handles power, which helps everyone identify with him as a person. The only notable specialty is that anger is the key for Forest to mobilize his power. Hmm, could he use that to play Idi Amin? keep reading

In the movie: What fascinating power! Not only does the character exude a confidence worthy of a political dictator, Forest gives him undertones of anger. Ranging from 1 to 10 on this character’s Richter rage scale, each number calibrated on this scale features a slightly different, uninhibited (and definitely crazed) take on the theme of power. A complete change of aura. Maybe 10 of them!

Heart chakra: how do you manage emotions?

As Himself: Don’t let that great masculine body fool you. Forest Whitaker is a sweet and tender wandering heart. This chakra dominates his aura. What a caring, well-meaning, caring person! However, like most of the tender-hearted among us, this man has accumulated a lot of pain. Also, unlike most of us, cute or not, Forest has an ultra-long memory for every nuance of emotional experience. For this reason, he has a large collection of slights, hurts and wounds from his emotional life. They don’t feature prominently in a cheery publicity photo, but they count all of this as a great resource for him as an actor.

In the movie: Think egosim! Think megalomania! Don’t think too much about this though, or you could get sick! Forest has done all the mental work, the transformation, to bring this strange and sick heart to life. As with any other chakra transformation, he is not only completely different from the actor himself, but displays nuances he wouldn’t have thought possible.

Chakra communication: veracity? Talent? What shows here?

Like himself: In his personal life, with those he trusts, he shows great vulnerability. In his public life, even posing for a publicity photo, Forest can adopt an identity to project. He doesn’t seem to need to show people who he really is, as a person. Instead, that kind of integrity is reserved for those who have passed his trust test and been admitted into his circle of friends.

In the film: Even more so than the actor playing himself, this portrayal of Amin is tremendously focused and authentic. As a communicator, he projects the kind of charisma that makes his rise to power believable.

Chakra of spirituality: how does it connect with God?

Like himself: The longing for God is strong. Forest may be the most passionate spiritual seeker of the 10 leading actors and actresses nominated for the 2007 Academy Awards.

In the movie: Ooh, how disgusting is this character’s third eye. You can almost smell the fire and brimstone. The man brings a laptop directly on him.

Soul Expression Chakra: Deep down, how does this person feel as a human being?

As himself: Yes! It’s been a struggle for Forest, but over time he’s learned to put himself first in life often enough to make decisions that bring him happiness.

In the movie: Oh, that’s ever connected. Have you ever seen the art of Hieronymus Bosch? He specialized in the grotesque, and if he were alive today, he could do a lot of painting on the many facets of hatred, perversion, etc. him being lived by this soul. When I’m done saying “Yech” on the inside, my next word should be “Bravo!”

Summary: Incredible acting achievement, Forest Whitaker! The changed chakras galore are only part of this performance, for any one of these chakras could have been a one note experience. Instead, there is a fully realized range of ugliness.

In my profession, I have sometimes been called upon to read the auras of the insane. My collection of political nuts that have been read includes Idi Amin, and I have to say that Forest Whitaker’s version is scarier and much more interesting.
