New and Interesting Halloween Costumes for 2009

What will be the best costumes this year? Well of course we know that Transformers and GI Joe are going to be big, especially with little kids. Michael Jackson will be well represented by costumes from all periods of his life and by all kinds of people regardless of age, sex, color or greed. But what else is going to be in style for 2009?

the watchers
The iconic graphic novel came to life and hit theaters with a bang. The biggest costume choices here will be Rorschach and The Silk Spectre. Both are fairly simple costumes to wear and should be considered for almost all body types.

Good or bad. Autobot or Decepticon? You choose, you put on the costume. Young children will especially love these costumes.

G.I. Joe
Again, good or bad? Joe or enemy? Storm Shadow or Cobra? The choice is up to you, of course. These again will be a big hit with the little kids, but the big kids might like the military look as well.

Superheros
Nothing will take Batman, Superman or Spider-man off the list of Halloween costumes. Sometimes they can sink to the bottom, but they will always be there.

horror movie stars
Rob Zombie is directing another version of Halloween this year, so of course everyone will be back out of their Michael Myer costumes. Michael will also be joined by Freddy Krueger and Jason, because what’s Halloween without a gang of teenage murdering maniacs?

sports stars
Pick your favorite gear and then don your colors for an easy and affordable, yet always popular Halloween option. Of course, you could spice things up for the season by adding a little twist. Dress up as a dead hockey player and call yourself Dead Wing. (Add your own twist to the sport of your choice, of course.)

Finally, remember, if it’s hot on TV or in theaters, you can bet it’s going to be a hot Halloween costume option for the year too. Don’t be afraid to get a little creepy, a little scary. It is Halloween after all. Happy Haunting!
