New Ford V6 engine in the works

Ford Motor Company has invested a large amount of money in a new engine that they will use in some of their future vehicles. Production of the new engine has already started and continues at just one of the company’s many production plants.

The Ford plant in Lima, Ohio, has been chosen. And a few weeks ago, production has already started. So now it looks like a great set of V6 engines is about to become available in the near future. This new V6 engine could hold 3.5 liters of fuel. It has also been created to be able to produce about 265 horsepower. According to some Ford officials, the new V6 engine has been designed to be flexible. In fact, they envision that the company could use this engine in several Ford vehicles. If this is so, then it would be like the Ford Windstar parts that could be used in quite a few Ford cars and vehicles.

$335 million is a huge amount. And this is the exact amount that Ford Motor Company invested and spent so that the Lima plant could produce the flexible new V6 engine. The production plans for this new one are great. According to the plant’s manager, Jan Allman, the number of engines to be produced would gradually increase over time and they would also be adding more workers this October to be able to produce the number of engines the automaker needs.

Dave Szczupak further states, “It’s a very flexible setup, so more can be built in the future than this derivative of the engine.” Szczupak is Ford’s group vice president for manufacturing in the Americas region.
