Raising a cat: learning to know your cat better?

Domestic Cat Education:

The most important thing to remember is: our cat is not a person who walks on four legs, your cat was originally designed to live in the wild and not in its closed house, the natural environment of a cat is very different from its clean environment and Sparkling House – Simply by beginning to recognize this general fact about your cat, you will finally make the first move and begin to understand and accept some aspects of your cats’ behavior.

There are numerous methods on how to prohibit your cat from performing a specific action, but the best method I have found that works almost perfectly is: Executing an inconvenient gesture for your cat at exactly the same time that your cat is doing its deed!

Over time, your cat will associate his act with your inconvenient gesture, which he definitely doesn’t like (eg, yells “No”, splashes water in his direction, not directly at him, sprays pressurized air, falls over the house keys next to him, etc…), if you persistently repeat one of these actions, your cat will “understand” you much faster.

Never hit your cat!!! If your cat does something you don’t want, hitting him will only make you more frustrated with him when he repeats his behavior, and by causing your cat pain! – In nature, the cat is an individual animal, highly territorial and independent. You should always remember that your house cat naturally does not know its limitations in your home, just like you!

I called my cat, why didn’t he come “running” to me?

Your cat will respond best to names that end with a high tone or “Hey” or “He” sound like Gary, Jackie, Pitzi, Miley, Joey, etc. You can reduce or adjust your cat’s name to make it stand out more vocally. – We changed from Jack to Jackie.

Your cat is very cute, we know, but if you call him by a million names, he will find it very difficult to differentiate when you are actually calling him, wouldn’t you get confused?

These are just a few of our nicknames we had for Jackie: Johnush, Juju, Jojo and Jacko… Jackie found it much harder to tell when he was called, you should definitely focus on addressing your cat by just one name (we recommend the cutest).

My cat climbs on the curtains, what should I do?

The subject of curtains is well known, and very painful too, if your cat decides he is Spiderman and climbs up your curtains – it is very important to make sure that your cat is not going to fall from too high a place, yes, even cats can get hurt when they fall!

The solution: If you have curtains at home, most kitties will want to climb over them; Starting at one year of age, your cats’ desire to climb your curtains may go away on its own. You can proactively prevent your cat from climbing, you can do what we’ve discussed above about executing an inconvenient gesture when she wants to climb, or you can also use grab bars that would fall (not your cat) when she climbs your curtains, usually after she happen once or twice, the fear of the curtains falling in on itself will discourage your cat from climbing again.

In conclusion: Your cat is a very independent creature, in contrast to a dog (which is also an amazing animal), a cat has a better ability to manage itself, as long as it has for itself: a source of food and water, its box of sand. That’s basically all he needs!

And, of course, a lot of attention and love from their owners, this is how you will make your cat so happy and content, which will make raising him a great joy!
