Ahhh yes, the interesting and always controversial topic of revenge spells!

Are they ethical? Are they part of the darkest black magic and should never be used? As stated in most Wiccan networks, will they invoke the returning power of 3 x 3, which means that all spells cast into the universe will return to the caster 3 times as powerful?

The answer is yes and no!

Let’s look at both sides of the argument for a moment, but to keep the interest of those who are really looking for a revenge spell, I’ll have one for you at the end of this article…

First, let’s look at the negative side of the story. Like curses and hexes, the Wiccan and Occult communities often frown on the use of magic for revenge. It is generally accepted that this type of spell gives off a bad vibe and invites bad karma. The very foundation of Witchcraft and Wicca is doing it right and projecting goodness out into the universe. There is no law and no bad karma when we try to improve our life or protect ourselves using true magic spells. Unfortunately, there is also no law on revenge spells, voodoo dolls, or other magic that is intended to harm others. Controversy? Yes, but illegal, no.

So the downside is pretty clear. Nobody says that these spells or curses will not work, it is simply frowned upon and in the eyes of many, including me, it is not about white magic. However, the dark arts have a strong attraction and temptation, especially when we are highly emotional and seek revenge. If you want to seriously consider casting a revenge spell, you have to be careful. It’s a dark place when you start playing around with these spells or other curses and opening yourself up to counter revenge, bad karma, and of course the triple rule. He can also harm an innocent person while caught up in his anger and her emotions.

However, there are some points of view that need to be explored in order to fully analyze the situation and decide if casting these types of spells is a good idea or not.

No matter what we do and how well we try to live our lives, there will always be someone who hurts you for one reason or another. If you really feel that this is the case and that you don’t deserve this harm, isn’t it unreasonable to believe that you can exact some kind of revenge on this person or people?

The key distinction to make is that we are talking about revenge and revenge basically means retaliating or even wrongfully wronging someone. So, you’re not firing the first round, but in a way you’re defending yourself and redirecting the negative energy that’s been sent your way one way or another. Is it so wrong to use magic to redirect this negative energy, especially if someone has hurt you or damaged your reputation without justification?

As I write this article for you, even I can see both sides of the story! However, after much thought, I remain on the side of good and advise against getting involved in casting revenge spells and other curses or hexes. I believe in the power of three and karma and feel these negative energy spells are best for protecting yourself and not sending you out into the universe.

Remember before you start that these types of spells are not as innocent and pure as beauty or love spells that really work. They require total faith and complete submission of your soul to the black magic at work.
