Silly String – Why is it so popular?

Silly String is one of the most popular party supplies out there. It’s the number one seller in most party stores and a party must-have for many reasons. There are so many different party supplies that are used often, but not like silly string. It’s not a decoration, not a food item, not something that helps make things easier, like easy cleanup or convenience. It’s just an item. So people may ask what is the big draw? It’s a question that needs an answer, right? So here’s the answer and some of the many reasons that silly rope is a party and customer favorite:

• pure fun: Silly String is for general fun. The yarn-filled spray can just so happens to be a simple, unspecified used item, but everyone loves it. Because it comes in so many different colors, there tends to be a feeling on display to be fun and exciting. Just because a can of these things can spray a string of colors. Seems weird right?
• creative and strange activity: The reason people like it so much is that they can pretty much do whatever they want with it. They have been used at parties, weddings, graduations, etc. But people like to use it for weird and suspicious activities like pranks. There have been several people who have set “traps” for people that when they open drawers, cabinets, or sit on things, the can sprays them with the product. It is one of those frequently used prank tools.
• war and revenge: This is one of the biggest uses of the dumb string. Making WAR!! There are weapons to play something similar to laser tag, but the difference is that you do not need to have a gun to spray this particular “toy”. It is a pleasure to have a playful and revengeful war with your friends or family.
• element of surprise: Another thing that is really cool about silly strings and why it is so popular, is when they are used to “wow” your neighbor or your friends and family. Picture this: You walk up to your friend and he starts talking to you. Meanwhile, behind your back or hidden in your jacket, you’ve got a can of silly rope. When the opportunity comes for them not to pay attention, you take it out and scare them with the silly can of string. They are probably very surprised and maybe a little angry and wanting “revenge”. But it turns out that you have an extra can with you, you throw it at him to make it a “fair” fight, and war has broken out! Other observers may also want to join in on the fun. Before long you would have started a civil war with a simple playful act of pointing a can at your friend. Sounds like fun, right?
