The Chronicles of Madness – Episode 45
In our 45th episode of Madness Chronicles, we’ll take a look at the madness sweeping our college campuses. Remember, insanity is a state of serious mental illness, extremely foolish behavior, and a form of frenzied or chaotic activity. Let’s take a look at the madness on campus.
A young woman from the University of Dallas had a rude awakening. She applied for an internship through a service linked to major corporations, but was turned down. Her rejection was not due to her course of study or her GPA, which were fine. She was denied because she was white. That is becoming a no-no today.
At UCLA, a professor who works with its 6-12 grade schools identified white males as a problem. Wellness director Ross Szabo said white students have mental health issues related to their sexuality. He was referring to an initiative started under the Obama administration. President-elect Joe Biden said: “Supporters of due process in campus sexual misconduct proceedings are like the ‘Nazis’ who marched on Charlottesville in 2017. Ouch.
In Missouri, a mother is suing her daughter’s Catholic girls’ school for false imprisonment. Her daughter, a senior, refused to attend a class critical of racial theory. The director made her sit in the office for 90 minutes. And then black students were allowed in and Harris her because of her lack of participation. It seems that being white is a growing problem in our society in 2020.
A white professor at the University of South Florida is in trouble. He had the nerve to tweet that “black privilege is real.” That got him a petition drive that got 35,000 signatures calling for him to be fired. And, of course, Black Lives Matter materialized, demanding that he be fired during their riots. The university intends to fire him for misconduct in the classroom. You can no longer tell the truth.
The San Diego Unified (CA) School District has recently taken the craziness to new heights. The Administration has ruled that all white teachers must undergo “white privilege” training before resuming classes in the District. Let that sink in… only white teachers should attend. It seems they want to win every ounce of respect from the white teachers in San Diego.
At Smith College, where anger is expected, a college administrator painted a huge target on his back for complaining that the work environment was anti-white. Alumni from the university immediately responded, demanding that she be fired from her job. Of course, maybe she asked for it. She was told not to perform a rap she planned to fulfill a “crazy” application requirement for a full-time library position: the sheer nerve of wanting to perform a rap when she was white.
At the University of Wisconsin in Madison, a stone was found to be similarly racist. You read that right, a rock. It appears that the 70-ton rock that has graced campus for over a century is black. It is Chamberlain’s black rock historically from a nearby quarry. But the Black Student Association found the rock to be racist when a 1925 newspaper article noted at the time that it was called the N—head Rock, a common term at the time. Rock could not be reached for comment. The university has said it will cost between $30,000 and $50,000 to remove it.
Brandeis University in Boston is the first to offer a ‘whites only’ space. The purpose is for students to stop and examine the materials provided to help them become aware of their privilege. The course lasts six weeks and the University’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion hopes it will help white people become anti-racists.
Don’t you wish you could make these things up instead of living them? It’s madness at its finest, with a whole lot of madness thrown in for good measure.
