Two travel lovers’ picks for the best beaches in Florida

You have decided to travel to Florida for your vacation. The only problem is which of the many beaches to choose? There are a variety of great beaches to visit in Florida that offer everything you could ask for, however, after all the beaches we’ve traveled to, there are a few that we think are the best.

The travel channel has even done a full show on the best beaches in Florida and so have we. So, without further ado, here are our best beaches in Florida…

**Clearwater Beach Florida – If you love big white sand beaches, lots of sun, and lots to do, then Clearwater is a great choice. You will enjoy Pier 60 and the beautiful sunsets, a nice combination of art, history and nightlife. Plus, if you’re a boater, fisherman, swimmer, or the outdoorsy type, then Clearwater offers plenty to do. Located on the Gulf Coast near Tampa and St. Pete’s.

** In the Panhandle, our pick is Destin Florida – Many will say that Panama City Beach is a fun place to go, especially during spring break, but if you want to play golf, have fun with the family and enjoy beautiful beaches, Destin is the place to be. your vacation destination. Located on the Emerald Coast, the white sand is a perfect playground for children and adults. The various condominiums and houses offer extraordinary accommodations. Not to mention, the golf courses are world class. Such a great vacation that many people buy second homes in Destin.

**Key West: You can’t mention the beaches of Florida without saying something about The Keys. Although all areas of The Keys are amazing, Key West was our favorite visit. Be sure to head to Smathers Beach, drive up and down the main highway, A1A, and participate in the activities on Duval Street. Rent a buggy, visit the southernmost point, enjoy arts and entertainment, and watch the sunset at Mallory Square. Key West offers too much to list in one small article.

**Orlando: Yes, I know, Orlando is not a beach area. However, Orlando is in such a great location that there are numerous beaches to visit if you’re taking part in the Orlando magic. Cocoa Beach is located to the east along the Atlantic coast, where you can enjoy the beaches, the pier, many water activities, great shopping, and more. If you head west, you can venture to any of the gulf beaches, including Clearwater and the surrounding area. You’re closer to the Atlantic coast and less than an hour from many of Florida’s best beaches, so keep that in mind when visiting Disney!

**Finally, we must mention Miami: North Beach, South Beach, and in between, Miami offers a vacation experience like no other. The sand was soft, the waters were a light emerald color, and the people were from everywhere. Hot bodies, a nightlife that draws people from all over, including Hollywood’s elite, and world-class cuisine, Miami is nothing short of fun and excitement. Choose between a quiet and relaxing vacation or one that leaves you sleepless. Be sure to visit Ocean Dr and walk the strip on Collins Ave. Also, if you head north, you can visit another great beach: Fort Lauderdale. Also, Highway A1A will take you south to the Florida Keys.

There are a lot of beaches that we do not include in this article. Some of our other favorites are Daytona Beach, St Augustine, Naples, Siesta Key, and Palm Beach to name a few. Everyone has their tastes and views on what the perfect Florida vacation is and these are our top picks.
