High blood pressure: a silent killer, but also a blessing in disguise

I had heard about high blood pressure all my life as it ran in my family. My doctor had warned me many years ago that I had it, but at the time it wasn’t high enough all the time for him to prescribe a medication for it. I tried to change my diet, as instructed by him, but I thought this was heredity and there was nothing I could do about it.

Looking back, going to my doctor for that was my first mistake as my doctor has no nutritional training and didn’t know how to get rid of it, he just knew how to manage it. Needless to say, the dietary changes didn’t work too well.

Over the years it became more of a burden than anything else and I just stopped monitoring my blood pressure closely. I used acupressure tapping to keep it at bay to some extent and also worked on my fibromyalgia and put it into remission with my acupressure tapping (EFT). However, I soon started experiencing dizziness and was diagnosed with vertigo. Nothing was ever said about this being linked to blood pressure, because doctors do not treat the person as a whole, they only manage the symptoms that they are having at that moment and nobody thought to check the coincidence that both were present.

Fast forward a few years and I started having vertigo symptoms every day and feeling confused due to dizziness. I didn’t know it was high blood pressure and was only treating vertigo. Then one day I woke up early in the morning and tried to go to the bathroom. My vertigo was out of control and I was shaky and very dizzy. When my sister called later that morning, I found that I couldn’t even talk to her and form the words to speak; Then I went to the ER and found out I was having a stroke. My blood pressure was through the roof and now so was my blood sugar levels.

During hospitalization I was prescribed medication to lower my blood pressure and control my sugar levels, but the side effects of the medication still made me dizzy. I lost the use of my left side and had to relearn how to talk and walk as well as use my left hand again. However, over the course of the next few months, I found a naturopath, Dr. Glidden, whose YouTube videos showed me that, nutritionally speaking, my high blood pressure was a sign of calcium and magnesium deficiency. I also learned that vertigo is osteoporosis of the skull and the two were related and it is also a calcium deficiency. I also learned that through chromium and vanadium supplementation I was able to control my sugars as well (another article will explain this).

So, I bought the Youngevity products he suggested and am now free of both high blood pressure and high blood sugar. I am off all hospital meds. So now my mission is to help others do the same thing I did. I tried other products that said they helped with high blood pressure and had even been taking some products with minerals and calcium to try to get the same results and they all failed. They just weren’t in a form that the body could absorb. The minerals have to be very small for the body to grab hold of them and get them into the bloodstream. These Youngevity minerals are colloidal, meaning they are very small, and they are in a formulation that allows little fingers in the gut (villae) to grab onto them and absorb them into the bloodstream. That’s why they work so well.

So, I finally found the nutrition I needed to allow my body to heal itself. Now, I needed to heal the emotional component. Once the body is nitrified, any other alternative healing modalities you use hit the body much harder. I consulted Karol K Truman’s book, Feelings Buried Alive Never Die, and discovered that the emotional component of high blood pressure is: You feel a strong need to be in control, you allow people or situations to upset you, you let your emotions and reactions rule you, and don’t mind your own business/interfere with others. I muscle tested the emotions and found that I was reacting to all of them!

Muscle testing is a way of asking the body a yes or no question and getting a yes or no answer. Most people can do this by standing barefoot on the floor and setting the parameters for their body by leaning forward as far as possible with knees straight and saying ‘this is yes, yes’. Then lean back as far as you can and say ‘this is no, negative’. Then allow your body to stand up straight in a neutral position and ask the question. Your body will pull forward or lean back. It can be very subtle on some people, so really pay attention.

Ask about each emotion listed, and then write down each response. When you get a yes to something, write it down and do the following: Touch the third eye point, the point right in the middle of your forehead where a cyclops eye would be, with two fingers, and then say the following while concentrating on the tapping, “Even though I feel… (say the statement you provoked), I choose to release this and allow my body and blood pressure to be calm and at peace.” It can indicate other peaceful things that you want to happen to your body as well.

Once you are done tapping, take a minute to listen to your body and see if any memories come to mind. Then tap on that same area and indicate the memory and approximate age when you remember it happening and then ask your body to release it.

Once you’re done, you should feel so free and relaxed…ready to start your day with new minerals and a brighter new outlook on life!
