Santa Claus: the heart of a magical Christmas
Generations of families have marveled at these magic words from The Night Before Christmas, a family tradition enjoyed by many across the country. It tells us the story of what Christmas should be like and the excitement that many children feel on Christmas Eve. Christmas should be a quiet time to spend with loved ones, but the race many of us find ourselves in to find the perfect gift can be quite harrowing. High Street Stores, with their tinsel-fueled commercialism, can often take over our quaint beliefs for that perfect English Christmas. Clinging to outdated hobbies and traditions is never easy, yet a person always remains firmly entrenched in the heart of our traditional Christmas, and no amount of commercialism will change how we feel about them. Saint Nicholas or Santa Claus as we know him is a world mascot for all boys and girls. Just seeing the smile on my son’s face at the mere mention of this gentleman in the red suit beats any X-Box game or device he can buy!
Parents and grandparents are constantly searching for that special gift, but with so many families struggling financially and finding less time in their hectic schedules, it should be affordable and easy to find. I’m always looking for ways to save over Christmas and often find the internet cheaper and easier than the busy high streets.
Preparation for Christmas Eve is very important, but in the rush of our preparations we can forget that simple things can really add to our Christmas. Christmas is primarily a time for children and when my own children sent their letters to Santa it crossed my mind how wonderful it would be if Santa could find the time to send a letter back. The excitement such a letter could bring to our home would be incredible.
I searched the internet hoping to find something that would bring that extra sparkle of magic to my family’s Christmas. I couldn’t afford to spend a lot of money on this, so when I discovered that I could send a letter online, directly from Santa himself, I knew I had found the right idea: a little piece of magic that would soon be flitting through my child’s mailbox. ! I was able to choose the design that I liked the most and I personalized it with the child’s name, gender and various other details. My daughter would receive a letter that would make her feel very special. Even I was excited waiting for this VIP letter to arrive! When he landed on the mat, seeing the smile on my son’s face was the best Christmas present I could have ever had. Such a nice gift for such a small price was the perfect gift to make our Christmas celebrations truly magical.
