Santo Tomas is a great tourist destination

If you’re looking for a great tropical setting to visit during the cold winter months, consider a trip to St. Thomas. This is a beautiful island located in the Caribbean Sea, and there are many reasons why I love to visit this destination as often as I can.

These are some of the many reasons why you may want to consider going to St. Thomas.

1. The beaches are beautiful. Do you like a calm and serene beach where the water is really blue? Then look no further than the beaches of St. Thomas. There are many smaller ones, free of large tourist crowds, and they give you all the relaxation you are looking for on a beach.

2. Good food. There are many fancy restaurants on this island with talented chefs. If you enjoy eating gourmet foods and well-prepared meals, you’ll have plenty of different restaurants to choose from when you visit St. Thomas.

3.Mountains. The island’s unique topography gives it a mix of mountains and beaches. Granted, these aren’t the snow-capped mountains you’d see if you visit the Rocky Mountains or elsewhere, but there are still high points on the island that give you incredible views of the water.

4. The native language of the island is English. It’s always easier to travel somewhere where you don’t have to communicate with people who speak a different language than yours. You will be happy to know that everyone there speaks perfect English.

5. You do not need a passport to visit. Since St. Thomas is part of the US Virgin Islands, this is truly an American destination. As a result, you won’t need any kind of passport or international ID to travel there.

6. Reasonable prices. Here you will not find the inflated prices that you can find in many other tourist destinations. As a result, you should be able to find some reasonably priced flight and hotel rates.

7.Golf. If you’re an avid golfer, you’ll really appreciate the beautiful Mahogany Run course. Many famous people have graced the 18 holes of this course, and with good reason. It is truly special with its hills and sea views.

A word of warning to you is that renting a car here can be somewhat confusing as cars drive on the left hand side of the road. That, combined with some steep hills on the roads, makes it a bit difficult to drive here.
