Singapore Bus Terminals

Transportation in Singapore is properly arranged. I would like to share about the transportation facilities from Singapore to Malaysia. There are three terminals in Singapore that will take you to Malaysia. They are the Queen Street Bus Terminal, Lavender Street Bus Terminal and the Golden Mile Complex. Let’s see brief notes about these bus terminals.

In this article, let’s see what are the terminals to get in and out of Singapore to Malaysia.

Bus Terminal on Queen Street

Queen Street Bus Terminals have three wonderful bus services. They can take you to Johor Bahru in Malaysia.

Singapore-Johor Express Shuttle ($2.40; every 15 minutes; departs 6:30am – 12am)

Causeway Link Express (CW2) ($2.40; approximately every ten minutes; departs 6:00 am to 11:45 pm)

SBS Bus Transit 170, ($2.10; every 12 minutes; departs at 5:20 am to 0:10 am)

All buses will take you to Johor Bahru within an hour via the Causeway to Larkin Bus and Taxi Terminal. It can spread if the checkpoint is hectic.

It is located next to the wholesale center on Victoria Street. It is exactly in Bugis.

Lavender Street Bus Terminal

There are three bus companies that operate out of the Lavender Street Bus Terminal. They are Delima Express, Malacca Singapore-Express and Transnasional Express to reach Malacca, Kuala Lumpur and Terengganu in Malaysia.

It is located near the Lavender Food Square in the Little India district.

Delima Express offers a wonderful journey from Singapore to Malacca. You have buses that leave at 8:30, 10:30, 14:30, 18:00, 18:45 (only on Fridays). The bus fare will be $20.80. It takes 5 hours of travel.

Malacca Singapore Express, Singapore-Malacca ($11; 5 hours; departs 8am, 9am, 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm)

You can travel to Kuala Lumpur from Singapore via Transnational Express. It takes 9 hours to get there and the bus fare is $35. Buses leave at 9:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:30 PM, 3:00 PM, 6:30 PM, 7:00 PM, 7:30 PM (Fridays only).

Transnasional Express, Singapore-Kuala Lumpur ($35; 9 hours; departures at 9:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:30 PM, 3:00 PM, 6:30 PM, 7:00 PM, 7:30 PM (Friday only)).

Golden Mile Complex

The Golden Mile complex is a pick up point for a long distance bus trip to Malaysia. It is informally known as the Golden Mile Complex.

It is located on Beach Road, Kallang, near a strip of land called the Golden Mile in Singapore.

The Golden Mile Food Center is across the street and you can walk there across the skybridge in 5-7 minutes.

Grassland Express, Kwang Chow Travel and StarMart Express Air Asia are coach companies in the Golden Mile Complex in Singapore.

This company mainly travels to Kuala Lumpur (an average trip of $30), Malacca ($50), Penang ($45), and Ipoh ($40).

The charges are competitive, and you should check several companies first before buying your ticket.

Conclusion

While these Singapore bus terminals are located close to the hub, getting to them by bus or walking can be difficult if you’re not familiar with the roads here.

My advice is to take the train to the nearest MRT station to your vacation spot and take a taxi from there. It should cost $5-$10 depending on time and distance traveled.

See Singapore-Malaysia by bus for much more information.
