Time for your honeymoon? Naples, Florida is the place
We may not have liked the way it was handled; but it was our parents and our immediate family who decided to make it so. They hired a wedding planner to do all the planning, from the reception, to the church, to the food, to the details of the cake, except for the honeymoon. The honeymoon was definitely something we wanted to weigh in on. Therefore, we made it clear that we would be the ones to plan the entire honeymoon, but to be honest, we had no plan or preference at all. My husband and I decided to have an unplanned honeymoon so that it would be different, we wanted to be adventurous instead of having an old fashioned honeymoon style.
To start we talked about different places to go and getting ideas from everyone, some said, Spain, Barcelona, Rome, Paris in conclusion the typical places for honeymooners because of the romanticism and everything. Since we have been to those places and don’t get me wrong they are lovely and beautiful places, we were still looking for something different for a change. So after thinking and everything, we decided to go to Florida on the spur of the moment, packed our bags, got our tickets, made some phone calls and flew to Miami, Florida. Our worries began when we arrived at the Miami airport, we didn’t know what to do or where to go as the final destination of our honeymoon; we were basically newlyweds exploring a new world! But this was an exciting adventure and what we were looking for.
Finally, my husband made some inquiries with different people and through the internet he found a transportation company called Florida Shuttle Transportation; he booked an instant reservation for us to travel to a city called Naples that we have heard and studied is a wonderful relaxing place; it’s about a two-hour ride on the shuttle from Miami.
When we first entered the Naples area, I said to myself: this is perfect for me; from the beach to the buildings the calm and simple serenity. I have heard that it is one of the best places for honeymoon with the white sand beaches. Also dine while watching the sunset over the Gulf of Mexico.
We enjoy walking on the beach while we breathe the sanitized air that is very rare to breathe this type of air where we live. We stayed at the hotel in Naples called Marco Beach Ocean Resort. In fact, a great accommodation for us, we always received a warm welcoming smile and when they found out we were there for our honeymoon, they upgraded our room to the best room and with no increase in price; we got the elegant mediterranean style suite with a patio and a nice sea view to make it more romantic. We really love it.
We were very pleased from our arrival at the Miami Airport, to the transportation provided to the final destination. After the quiet, calm-filled scene in Naples, Florida, we decided to head to Miami for some fun, easy-going nightlife; Of course I couldn’t put aside my favorite thing to do “shopping”. I really enjoyed shopping at the Aventura Mall in Miami, even though it was raining it didn’t stop us from doing our thing.
In fact, Naples and Miami Florida are two great places to visit. I highly recommend Naples for your romantic part of your honeymoon and Miami for the rest of your stay for fun and shopping. Have a great time all you newlyweds!
