Museum of the Portuguese Language
As one of the only museums in the world dedicated to the language, the Museu da Lingua Portuguesa celebrates the Portuguese language. The museum exhibits are all in Portuguese, however even non-speakers can appreciate the sounds and tone of the language. Admission is only $6, but teachers, children 10 and under, and seniors can enter for free. There is no admission charge on Saturdays.

Tickets are $6, but young children, students, seniors, and people with special needs pay half price. It is said that the neighborhood can be a bit dangerous, so many visitors recommend taking a taxi or parking in the guarded parking lot.
